I keep on creating, which helps me facing these days with more enthusiasm and positivity. In fact, creating always makes me feel happy and carefree.

Here are my latest necklaces in ethnic - tribal - Native inspired style.

This pendant necklace is crocheted with resistant brown cotton cord and decorated with two Angelite beads.

ITA.: Ciao, come state?

Io continuo a creare per affrontare questi giorni con maggiore entusiasmo e positività. In realtà, creare mi fa sempre sentire felice e spensierata.

Queste sono le mie ultime collane in stile etnico-tribale, ispirate ai Nativi americani.

La prima è lavorata a uncinetto in resistente cordino di cotone marrone e decorata con pietre di Angelite

ENG.: This one is asymmetric and freeform, is crocheted out of a beautiful Marsala linen thread and decorated with orange-purple crystals.

ITA.: Questa è realizzata a uncinetto con motivi a trafori freeform ed è decorata con cristalli arancio-fuxia.

ENG.: And this other one is crocheted in the same resistant brown cotton cord and decorated with yellow Agate and natural Turquoise beads.

ITA.: E questa è fatta a uncinetto nello stesso cordino di cotone marrone e decorata con Agate gialle e Turchesi naturali.

 

ENG.: Also this one is crocheted in brown cotton cord and is decorated with a beautiful green handmade ceramic bead and matching crystals.

ITA.: Anche questa è fatta a uncinetto con lo stesso cordino e decorata con una grossa pietra di ceramica artigianale verde e cristalli abbinati.

 

ENG.: I also made some earrings: these are crocheted with brown cotton cord and decorated with turquoise beads and golden crystals.

ITA.: Ho fatto anche un paio di orecchini con lo stesso cordino, turchesi naturali e cristalli dorati.

ENG.: All these necklaces and the earrings are very sturdy and resistant thanks to the particular kind of work and the kind of materials.

Geometry #2: hemp cord + ceramic jewelry - Geometrie #2: gioielli in corda di canapa + ceramica.

After the first three geometric hemp + ceramic elements pendants I wrote about here, I decided to make some new pieces in colored hemp cord and ceramic elements in different colors. So here they are my latest pendants in the shades of chocolate brown and olive green (but I also have light blue, white, turquoise and a beautiful melange I can't wait to use).

I like the contrast between chocolate brown and aqua or yellow and the matching between olive green and cream, but my favorite among them is the first one: I definitely love these colors together!

I'm already working on other shapes and combinations because I think these necklaces with their colors and style are perfect for this season: thanks to their classical geometric shape and the chromatic choice, you will easily wear them on summer dresses or blouses, matching them with white, light blue, blue jeans, yellow, brown, ecru, turquoise...

I hope I'll be able to show you the new pieces very soon, in the meantime you can find these ones in my Etsy shop! :)

Dopo le prime tre collane geometriche in spago di canapa ed elementi di ceramica che Saida Jama di Perla di ceramica ha realizzato appositamente per me e di cui vi avevo già parlato qui, ho deciso di realizzare dei nuovi pezzi in corda di canapa colorata e perle di ceramica in diversi colori. E così sono nate le mie ultime collane nelle tonalità del marrone cioccolato e verde militare (ma ho anche altra corda color celeste, bianco, turchese e di delicate sfumature mélange che non vedo l'ora di usare).

Mi piace molto il contrasto tra il cioccolato e l'acquamarina o il giallo e anche l'abbinamento tra il verde militare e il panna, ma la mia preferita è la prima: adoro questi colori insieme!

Sto già lavorando ad altre forme e combinazioni di colore perché credo che queste collane, siano perfette per questa stagione: grazie alla loro classica forma geometrica e alla scelta cromatica, potrete indossarle facilmente su vestitini estivi o camicette, abbinandole sul bianco, celeste, blue jeans, giallo, marrone, ecrù, turchese...

Natural and earthy materials: HEMP TWINE/Materiali caldi e naturali: lo SPAGO DI CANAPA

I love using "warm", earthy and natural colours and materials for my jewelry and accessories. Natural hemp twine is one of my favorites: I like the fact that my jewelry keeps its shape because of hemp texture and consistency; I love its freshness on the skin, a very important quality since these kind of jewelry is perfect on summer dresses or blouses; and I hate how my fingers ache when crocheting or weaving it...but the result is worth the effort!

Only today I realized how many pieces in natural hemp twine I created over the last years, so I decided to collect all the pictures to show you how versatile this material can be -even if I treated it just as if it was a common yarn. I've essentially crocheted it to create bags and jewelry, but I guess I will soon experiment other techniques and make some home decor and accessories.

These items are mostly or partly made of hemp twine, while some others have just some hemp details.

Adoro usare colori e materiali "caldi" e naturali per i miei bijoux e accessori. Lo spago di canapa è uno dei miei materiali preferiti: mi piace che grazie alla sua consistenza i bijoux mantengano la loro forma; amo la sua "freschezza" sulla pelle, aspetto molto importante in quanto questi bijoux sono perfetti se indossati su camicette o vestitini estivi; e detesto, invece, quanto le mie dita soffrano nel lavorarlo...ma il risultato vale sicuramente lo sforzo!

Solo oggi mi sono resa conto di quanti pezzi in spago ho realizzato nel corso degli ultimi ann, così ho deciso di raccogliere le foto per mostrarvi quanto possa essere versatile questo materiale, benché io lo abbia usato solo al minimo delle sue potenzialità: infatti mi sono limitata a borse e bijoux per lo più lavorate a crochet (e ho trattato lo spago proprio come un comune filato), ma ho intenzione di riproporlo anche con altre tecniche e realizzarne anche accessori per la casa.

La maggior parte di queste creazioni sono quasi totalmente realizzate in spago, altre solo parzialmente, altre ancora presentano solo qualche dettaglio.

Spring and Colours #2 - Natura e Colori #2

Lately I've been making lots of new things, in particular necklaces and earrings, always in ethnic-tribal-boho style.

For the first two necklaces (and matching earrings) I used the same colours because I like them a lot and wanted to see the effect they would give on a different necklace.

The cotton yarn I'm using is NATURA Just Cotton DMC.

N.B. All these creations (just like all of my creations, except when I recycle leather samples or shells I find on the beach :) ) are 100% Vegan, 100% cruelty free!

Ultimamente ho realizzato diverse cose nuove, in particolare collane e orecchini, sempre in stile etnico-tribale-boho.

Per le prime 2 collane (e orecchini abbinati) ho usato gli stessi colori, perchè mi piaceva molto l'abbinamento e volevo vedere l'effetto che avrebbero fatto su una collana diversa.

Il cotone che uso è NATURA Just Cotton DMC.

Nel post precedente vi ho  mostrato questa collana, a cui ho poi abbinato un paio di orecchini.

And here's another pair of earrings, same style and materials: cotton yarn and copper.

E questo è un altro paio di orecchini, stesso stile e materiali: cotone e rame.

This is a pendant in goth-rock style made up of 3 layers, one in crocheted cotton yarn and two of very good quality black faux leather. Every part is hand cut and hand sewn among them. 

Questo ciondolo in stile goth-rock è composto da 3 strati, uno in cotone lavorato a crochet e due in pelle sintetica nera di ottima qualità. Ogni parte è tagliata e cucita a mano.

This is a necklace + ring set in natural hemp and cotton yarn with copper, aluminium chain and crystals inserts I made some years ago; some days ago I received a custom order and made the necklace and the ring again and added a bracelet as a gift.

This item is available to order in different colours. Just now I'm working on a natural hemp and blue cotton yarn piece.

Questa è una parure in spago naturale e cotone con catena in alluminio e inserti in rame e cristalli che ho realizzato qualche anno fa; qualche giorno fa una ragazza me l'ha richiesta e l'ho rifatta, aggiungendo un bracciale in regalo.

Questo articolo è disponibile su richiesta in diversi colori. Proprio adesso sto lavorando a un pezzo in spago naturale e cotone blu.

 

 

And this is a cotton yarn and enamel copper asymmetric necklace.

E questa è una collana asimmetrica in cotone e rame smaltato.
