Nature and Native inspired jewelry.

I love to use natural elements such as shells, sea stones, wood and any other gift the Nature gives us for my jewelry. As soon as I find something that catches my eye I let its shape and colour inspire me. So, when I first saw this asymmetric reddish sea stone I immediately imagined what it would become: a pendant for a tribal style necklace I would set in a hemp cord crochet bezel and then decorate it with crystals and various beads fringes. This is an example of how my Nature and Native inspired jewelry comes to life!

Adoro usare elementi naturali come conchiglie, sassi di mare, legno e altri doni che la Natura ci regala quando creo i miei gioielli. Non appena qualcosa attira la mia attenzione lascio che siano le sue forme e i suoi colori ad ispirarmi. Così, quando ho visto questa pietra rossastra asimmetrica ho subito immaginato cosa sarebbe diventata: un pendente per una collana in stile etnico-tribale che avrei poi incastonato in corda di canapa lavorata a uncinetto e decorato con frange di cristalli verde smeraldo. Questo è un esempio di come nascono i miei gioielli tribali ispirati alla Natura.

The same happens when I find supplies at local markets and that's what happened when I found this green agate cabochon I combined with chocolate brown hemp cord and emerald green crystals. 

ITA.:

Lo stesso accade quando trovo pietre e altro ai mercatini locali ed è ciò che è accaduto quando ho trovato questo cabochon in agata verde che ho abbinato alla corda di canapa color cioccolato e a dei cristalli verde smeraldo.

Tribal style necklace - Monile in stile tribale

This is my latest ethnic-tribal Africa and Native America inspired necklace made of cotton yarn (NATURA Just Cotton DMC) and natural hemp twine. 

I decorated it with a big ceramic bead and copper finish beads. The back is reinforced and finished with a layer of brown faux leather accurately hand sewn. I tried to take care of every detail to make the entire composition result sturdy and resistant; I tried to obtain the desired size and to balance the proportions among its parts. 

Since I like thinking that my ethnic-tribal style creations are self-born from earth and nature, I used natural and earthy tones and materials. 

After hours and hours of work, I'm finally satisfied with the result and hope you can perceive the study and the attention I put to make it excactly the way it is.

Questo è il mio ultimo monile in stile etnico-tribale ispirato all'Afiuca e ai Nativi Americani, realizzato in cotone (NATURA Just Cotton DMC) e spago naturale di canapa.

L'ho decorato con una grossa perla centrale in ceramica e con perle in metallo rame. Il retro del medaglione è rinforzato e rifinito con uno strato consistente di pelle sintetica marrone accuratamente cucita a mano. Ho cercato di curare ogni minimo dettaglio al fine di ottenere una composizione solida e resistente; ho cercato di studiare la giusta dimensione e di bilanciare le proporzioni tra le varie parti e poiché mi piace pensare che le mie creazioni in stile etnico-tribale nascano da sé dalla Natura e dalla Terra, anche stavolta ho scelto tonalità e materiali caldi e naturali. 

Dopo ore e ore di lavoro, finalmente sono soddisfatta del risultato e spero che quanto meno si riesca a percepire l'attenzione che ho messo per rendere questa collana esattamente com'è. :)

Tribal style fringe necklace - Collana tribale con frange

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you a new necklace in hemp twine, orchid cotton yarn by NATURA Just Cotton DMC and various bronze finish and crystal beads inserts. I've been looking at these materials and colours for days and finally I decided to combine them in this tribal style tube fringe necklace. I'd like to make another one in different colours, maybe in green or using a coloured hemp twine with contrasting yarn.

Ciao a tutti! Oggi voglio mostrarvi una nuova collana in spago, cottone color orchidea by NATURA Just Cotton DMC con inserti di varie perle in metallo bronzo e cristalli. Sono giorni che guardo e riguardo questi colori e materiali, finché mi sono decisa a mescolarli in questa collana tubolare in stile tribale con frange. Mi piacerebbe farne un'altra simile ma in verde, oppure usando uno spago colorato e un cotone a contrasto. Vedremo... :)
